Stamping feet, waving arms, pointing fingers! Throwing shit at the wall. Schoolyard politics. And game playing at Executive Council meetings…

Such is the way of the United Left (UL) and their “allies” (Ed: Let’s see how long that lasts lol!)

Ever since Sharon Graham was elected General Secretary by the members (Ed: remember them?) there has been a concerted attempt by what remains of the old regime, to frustrate her leadership of Unite.

Obviously, it’s a matter of pure coincidence that two former UL faction leaders are now embroiled in allegations of corruption…

Levitating on their own piss and wind, the blowhards dream of an Orwellian future that is in fact the past. The failed old bollox of the past, where membership decline and political games that went nowhere, were the staple dishes. No doubt, they would also treat us to a side order of “alleged” bribery and money laundering and a pudding of abject, disconnected hobbyism.

Workers doing things during the cost of living crisis took its toll on this fantastic strategy, but the last 12 months have seen it stumble back onto the stage, like a drunk leering onto a late night dance floor (Ed: Apt for some, eh?).

Bullshit rumours have swirled:

“elections are imminent!!” “the bloody proles have used the strike fund!!” “we’re being victimised!!” “Sharon ate my children!!” SAVE US!!

Following more EC shenanigans (Ed: was it a waddle to the nearest Spoons?), the useful idiots took to social media with faux outrage to point earnestly at the dead cat in the road.

And by sweet Jesus is it boring. Never the brightest brunch, but infected by absurd levels of ego, they think everyone will simply gasp in awe at their brilliance. “Wow, I never thought about it like that?!”

Except barely anybody notices, let alone stares into the void.

Back on planet Earth the Union moves on:

Winning and growing.

Managing its money.

Over £160 million in liquid assets.

And waiting for the interim report into corruption and with it the opportunity to clean house.

The only real crisis is that which is about to engulf the UL and their “allies” from Dubbin’s Travel Agency.
